There have been a couple of great blog posts where appraisers have compared their appraised values of properties to zillow’s estimate. A quick summary of two of these blogs is listed below:

- This Appraiser’s values averaged a 20% difference from zillow’s estimate
The 20% average deviation represented a variety of values on zillow that were both higher and lower than the appraiser’s value. With such large differences you can see why it is important to do your due diligence especially when listing or buying a home.
